I FINALLY convinced Anna to rip herself away from her phone today (she was talking to her boyfriend OF COURSE) and take a few quick snapshots of me and Lily. As fate would have it though the weather turned dreadfully cold this afternoon and the wind came up! So besides trying to stay warm I was also attempting to keep hair out of my face! Amazingly SOME of the pictures turned out half way decent!:) I'm just glad to have some pictures to remember this little filly who's taught me so much, and blessed, stretched, challenged and grown me while she's been here!:)
"Come on Lily let's go take some pictures!"
"Come on Lily let's go take some pictures!"
I've been on Lily's back two times now as her training process continues, and I just continue to marvel at how God continues to guide me and give me wisdom and strength to train her!
She's gotten so soft, gentle, and responsive! She's going to make an awesome riding horse someday!
I love the marking on her face! It's SO unique, and fun. It's outside of the box, imperfect, not what someone would wish for if it was going to be a show horse....but it's SO Lily and I love her for it! Similar to how God loves each one of us for who we are! He doesn't want us to try to shape ourselves into someone that somebody else wants us to be but rather He wants us to embrace our individuality and look to Him to grow in His grace and truth!
Love giving "my babies" lovin', and anybody who's under my care for more than a day soon becomes one of "my babies!";)
"Whatcha looking at Lily girl?!";)
"Talk to me baby! Tell me what you're thinking!":)
I believe that God has placed horses in my life for a very specific reason! I believe He's placed a passion for horses in me for a very specific reason! Through the years God has stoked what was once a single dim flame of love for horses into a blazing inferno. He's shaped my passion and given it a purpose. I KNOW that one day very soon God is going to put me in a place where I will be ministering to beaten, broken, and bruised children with beaten, broken, and bruised horses that have been rescued and given a hope and a future.
Just like how God rescued me when I was sinful, wretched, unloveable, beaten, broken and brusied....He picked me up out of the ashes and made something out of me! Wow! When I look at the opportunites God continues to give me with horses, and the way He continues to guide my footsteps I am reminded that He who has begun a good work will finish it Praise His Name!
Lily is just another piece of the puzzle being put in place in my life and it's amazing to see how the heavenly Father in His goodness is using this piece so incredibly in my life!
9 Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves
that we should not trust in ourselves but
in God who raises the dead,10 who delivered us from so great a death, and
does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us,
